TAMPA, FL, January 12, 2015—Two of the nation’s most respected legal recruiting firms, MillerBlowers, Inc. and Skalaski Consulting, Inc., announced a merger of their operations this week and an expansion of their industry-leading legal recruiting services for law firms and corporations.
MillerBowers, which has focused solely on attorney placement since the 1980s, will incorporate Skalaski Consulting’s client base, infrastructure and legal recruiting operations across Florida and the East Coast. The merged companies have a national clientele of large and small law firms, as well as public and private corporations across every major business vertical.
MillerBlowers now has brick and mortar offices in Florida, Georgia, Virginia and Maryland, and its merger with Skalaski Consulting will allow it to widen its growing national practice. In 2014, MillerBlowers placed attorneys at law firms and companies in Florida, Georgia, Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, California, New Mexico, and Colorado.
“As a company that focuses solely on attorney placement, we’ve taken a conservative approach to growth so that we can give our clients partner-level attention throughout the recruiting process,” said Bain Blowers, President of MillerBlowers. “Ann Skalaski brings deep relationships and nearly 30 years of legal recruiting and consulting expertise to the table. She was our primary target for a merger within the industry.”
“Having worked with MillerBlowers in a partner relationship for many years, I’ve seen that their philosophy and approach to client service closely matches my own,” said Skalaski, President and Founder of Skalaski Consulting. “We both believe in maintaining long-term relationships and providing targeted, strategic efforts for our clients; and our combined capabilities make us stronger as a team.”
Prior to starting her own company, Ann Skalaski spent nine years at Holland & Knight LLP serving as their first Attorney Development Manager, and as the firm’s Director of Attorney Recruitment. From 1991 to 1996, she served as the Assistant Dean for Career Services at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she developed strong ties with lawyers, law firms, and universities across the country. MillerBlowers is a member in good standing of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC).
